It's genuinely beautifully made, and the recognition is deserved — a 2026 Apple Design Awards finalist for Inclusivity.
It turns your whole day into a single visual timeline: tasks, habits, calendar events, all in one place. It runs on iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch and the web, and it has a focus timer that does show a Live Activity while it runs.
If you want one app to run your entire day, it's a strong choice and Timetide isn't trying to replace it.
Structured is a day planner for everyone. Timetide is a timetable for students — it understands semesters, subjects, and lesson types, because that's all it does.
The Live Activity is the other difference. In Structured it tracks a focus session you start. In Timetide it's your next class, running automatically off your schedule, with no action from you.
And there's nothing to maintain. No tasks to tick, no habits to keep, no timeline to curate.

Timetide needs iOS 26 or later. That is the version that lets the countdown start ahead of class on its own, and it is a real cost: if your iPhone cannot run iOS 26, Timetide will not install at all. Checked 30 August 2026 against structured.app and their Live Activities documentation. Where their materials don’t state something, this table says so rather than guessing.
Which should you use?
Choose Structured if you want one place for your whole day — classes plus assignments, habits, and everything else — and you like planning inside an app.
Choose Timetide if your classes are the part you keep missing, and you want them visible without opening anything. It's a much smaller app on purpose.
Plenty of people will reasonably want both, and they don't conflict.
