Smart Timetable handles complicated schedules better than most — rotating weeks, multiple timetables, an Apple Watch app. It also uses tracking identifiers. Timetide doesn't.
Genuinely strong on complex schedules: multiple timetables at once, rotating weeks, and 1-, 2-, 3- or 4-week cycles. If your university runs an A/B week system, that matters.
It also has a countdown widget, an Apple Watch app, iCloud sync, and runs on iPad and Mac as well as iPhone.
The countdown lives on the Lock Screen as a Live Activity and in the Dynamic Island — not in a widget you have to go and look at.
And Smart Timetable's App Store privacy label lists Identifiers under "Data Used to Track You". Timetide has no tracking identifiers at all, and never asks for an account.

Timetide needs iOS 26 or later. That is the version that lets the countdown start ahead of class on its own, and it is a real cost: if your iPhone cannot run iOS 26, Timetide will not install at all. Which should you use?
Choose Smart Timetable if your schedule is genuinely complicated — rotating weeks, several timetables — or you want it on your Watch today.
Choose Timetide if your week is fairly fixed and what you actually want is to see the next class without unlocking your phone, from an app that doesn't use tracking identifiers.
Timetide is launching soon on the App Store. One email when it's live — no spam, ever.
