Schooly is a well-built, popular school planner with more features than Timetide. The difference that matters most is what each app does with your data.
It's a complete school planner — timetables, to-dos, assignments, exams, notes, deadline reminders and themes, on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Vision.
It also ships attendance tracking, including an attendance-rate calculation. Timetide doesn't have that yet.1
If you want one app that manages assignments as thoroughly as it manages classes, Schooly does more than Timetide does.
Your next class appears on the Lock Screen as a Live Activity with a running countdown — not a static widget you have to read and interpret.
And Timetide doesn't track you. Schooly's own App Store privacy label lists Identifiers and Usage Data under "Data Used to Track You", plus coarse location and advertising data. Timetide collects none of that.

Timetide needs iOS 26 or later. That is the version that lets the countdown start ahead of class on its own, and it is a real cost: if your iPhone cannot run iOS 26, Timetide will not install at all. Checked 30 August 2026 against Schooly’s App Store listing, including its App Privacy section, which Apple requires the developer to declare. Apps change — if this is out of date, tell us and we’ll fix it.
Which should you use?
Choose Schooly if you want the fuller planner — assignments, exams, notes and attendance in one place — and you're comfortable with an app that collects advertising data and tracking identifiers.
Choose Timetide if you mainly need to stop missing classes, prefer a glance over an app, and would rather your schedule stayed on your device.
Schooly does more. Timetide collects less. Both of those are true, and which matters more is genuinely up to you.
